Swoon is the sad story of a person who falls in love with the dreamed and ideal version of itself. It’s a painful journey, trying to coexist with that artificial other one, to look alike, to behave alike… basically wasting it’s life trying to be that someone he/she is not. And in the end, that feeling of being two people at once, only gets the character to self-destruct, mentally and physically.
You can musically feel the lament of this song. Through the light and dark of something you over desire, it’s a call to accept yourself, to live by yourself and not through the eyes of someone else.
